Title:	Fixed Term Research Assistant
Salary Details:	£26,523 to £29,853 per annum
Description:	Applicants are invited for the position of Research Assistant in the School of Engineering, reference 5353. The Computational Engineering Centre at Swansea University in collaboration with the Trauma & Orthopaedics medics in Morriston Hospital have developed a finite elements analysis model of the femur in which falls, fractures and failures of fixation have been simulated. Funding has been secured to further develop the complex computational modelling procedure to accurately reproduce known modes of failure. The successful candidate will be expected to develop a graphical web portal that integrates the required unstructured meshing technology that enables the creation and manipulation of biomedical geometries starting from medical imaging. Suitable candidates will have a postgraduate degree in the field of computer science or engineering with excellent ability in programming.
