| Name: | Access to the Arts Workshop |
|---|---|
| Description: | There has been a significant improvement in access to arts and heritage premises in the UK over the last 15 years. However, many older buildings, even when renovated, do not create effective access for all people. Arts and heritage premises are particularly relevant to inclusive design because they are buildings that large numbers of people with diverse abilties visit, often in historic buildings. In addition, the arts are for most people a visual and aesthetic experience that should be enhanced in every way. This workshop will explore the various issues relating to access to the arts. |
